BRUISED SKATE NOOSES

Born out of necessity and convenience, the Skate Noose is designed to carry your skates in all of your derby and skating travels. We like to call it the "Over the Shoulder, Roller Skate holder" It is a strap with a loop at each end that wraps around the front wheel/toe stop and allows you to "hang your skates" and carry them over your should with ease.

No longer will you have to jam them into your smelly bag with your sweaty pads, your skates HATE this! Keep them aired out AND show them off with a skate noose! Bruised Skate Nooses are available in WAY too many colors and patterns and if that isn't enough, custom nooses are available to fit your team, your league, or your personality.

Most excellent! This product is exactly as described and great for my skates! The service was prompt; I will definitely recommend them to my derby friends!

I just received my gorgeous, rainbow skate noose. I am in love!! I think I’m going to start buying them for all my derby sisters. This sexy piece is way more convenient for managing my skates than trying to shove them into my bag with my all of my funky gear. I can’t believe I’ve gone this long without one of these super rad skate nooses!!

SKATE STRAPS

I’ve been skating in my Riedel 495’s for 3 seasons now and I found they were getting a bit packed out. This strap tightened things right up and make my skates feel brand new again. Love it.

These are amazing! I loved them so much I bought a set for my daughter’s skates. They keep my heel back and down and haven’t frayed. I have played in several scrimmages and bouts with them and they have helped my lateral movement since my skinny ankles are not popping up and out anymore!

MATERIALS & CARE

Materials Used

  • Acrylic canvas
  • Cotton canvas
  • Polyester canvas
  • Polypro canvas with foil glitter webbing
  • Polyester Patterned Webbing
  • Welded D-rings
  • Heavy duty thread

Polyester webbing is strong and versatile and is extremely durable, yet lightweight. Polyester straps sleek profile makes it extremely useful for many uses and applications including utilizing it as a rope. Polyester webbing is resistant from abrasion and UV rays, and its limited water absorption capability makes it ideal for applications that require a lightweight strength against heavy weights or pressure, such as for tie-downs, tie straps, cargo straps, tow straps, winch straps, and military ratchet straps just to name a few.

ABOUT

The History of Bruised Skate Noose
In 2009 Kasey and Stevie skated together on a little league in Utah (Junction City Roller Dolls). Kasey had started to make these little skate carrying straps for fellow league mates. Stevie had one of the first prototypes of the Noose and used it to carry her skates everywhere she went.

In 2011, Stevie attended RollerCon and used her roller skate holder to haul her skates and gear around from class to scrimmage and everywhere in between. Many people stopped her and asked her what that thing was! This got the wheels turning and Stevie noticed what a pain it was to lug around skates and gear.

It had been years since Stevie and Kasey had even seen each other but Stevie knew she had to get Kasey to start making these things, there was an obvious need for this and there was NOTHING in existence. The days following that RollerCon, Stevie tried to come up with exactly how to call up Kasey and pitch her the idea. All of Stevie's fretting must have conjured something up in the derby verse because out of the blue, Kasey called Stevie and said that she had been thinking about making these straps and she was the first person who came to mind when she started thinking of getting a business partner. Stevie was floored and they set up and meeting the very next day.

It was as if the derby gods had their hand in things. The meeting was a success and Bruised Skate Noose was born  August 20, 2011 in a little coffee shop on 25th street in Ogden, UT.

Kasey has since left the company to pursue her life long dreams of being a bad ass tattoo artist, leaving Stevie to continue to supply the derby world with our Over the Shoulder Roller Skate holders.

Despite all of the ups and downs, I know we have a terrific product and work tirelessly to provide the best quality product and service. In the past 3 years, there have been a dozen or so copy cats that have popped up. I know ours is superior, plus we have over 50 colors and patterns to choose from. I love the derby community and work endlessly to donate, sponsor, and otherwise support all that I can. I am so happy to be where we are and am excited to grow this thing to all new heights! Thanks for taking the time to read about how Bruised came about. I have to thank everyone who has been supportive and helped Bruised to get where it is today!

XOXO
Vulgar (Stevie)
